2013 Summer Swim Camp

Charles River Aquatics will offer nine weekly Swim Camp Sessions for children ages 4 - 10 in the Summer of 2013. (Children under 4 are not eligible and we strongly encourage that 4 year olds only attend Half-Day camps).

Camp at Boston University

The first three weeks of swim camp (June 17-July 5) will be held at Boston University, 285 Babcock Street, Boston, MA. (Directions and Drop off/Pick up Procedures for BU)

Camp at Northeastern University

The next six weeks of swim camp (July 8 -August 16) will be held at Northeastern University, due to the closure of BU's Agganis Pool for repairs and BU's subsequent use of the Case Center Pool for its own activities.

Under the supervision of Roy Coates, who is in his 20th season as Head Coach of Northeastern’s Swimming & Diving Program, along with CRA Aquatics Director Tom Wallace and the entire CRA staff, the swim camp at Northeastern will provide expert instruction by a highly trained team of dedicated professionals.

Northeastern University pool is located at Cabot Center, 400 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115. (Directions and Drop off/Pick up Procedures for Northeastern)

**************************************

As in previous years, the camp will be split into Mariners and Navigators. The younger campers will be our Mariners. The older campers will be our Navigators. CRA reserves the right to divide the groups in such a way that all children will have an enjoyable experience at summer camp. It is strongly recommended that four year olds attend half day camp only. In the 'comment section' of the camp application, please be sure to let us know if your child has a friend at camp. We will do our best to place the children together. You can also call: 617-777-3556 and relay this information.

The Mariners and Navigators will participate in separate swim lessons each morning. At BU, the groups will be joined for free swim at 11:15 and lunch at noon. At NEU, the Navigators and Mariners will enjoy free swim together on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday the two groups will be separated for free swim. Both groups will come together for lunch.

All full day campers will be together for the final swim lesson as well as the afternoon activity.

The Camp Schedule for the Summer of 2013 is at the bottom of this page. Camps are available in Half-Day (9 AM- 1 PM) and Full-Day (9 AM- 3 PM) formats. Each week has a specific theme to guide the week's activities.

Prices will be: $480 for a full day and $380 for a half day. The Registration limit for each week will be 70 swimmers.
