BLACK OUT THE STANDS AT MIT! SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW SEA DRAGONS!

After a stellar first evening at MIT, the Sea Dragon swimmers at the NE 13-19 Championships are fired up!

A quick recap:

Julian Asuaje-Solon finished 5th in the 1000, dropping 24 seconds and swimming to a 9:54.33. It was a new team record and an Eastern Sectionals qualifying time!

Aidan Oi dropped 16 seconds and qualified for Southern Sectionals with a time of 10:14.31.

Finals begin at 5:00 every evening and are free to those who bring a non-perishable food item. Coach Chris would love to see the Sea Dragons and families out in full force to support their teammates. Wear BLACK BLACK BLACK and sit in one large group to "BLACK OUT THE STANDS".

Congratulations to the CRA Sea Dragons on a great performance at the Greenwood Memorial Swim Club’s Winter Trials/Finals Specialty Meet held at Boston University.

The CRA Sea Dragons made quite a splash! The Sea Dragons had a grand total of 369 best times. Swimmers set 32 new team records. Some records were broken several times in a single day! The 13-14 year old girls set and reset the old record previously held by Charlotte Cole 5 times. First Katie Luniewicz lowered the mark by about a second to 2:25.38, then Record Holder Charlotte Cole and Mary Rachel Durso reset the record by tying with a 2:25.03. After a spirited swim-off at the start of finals, the dust settled with both Charlotte and Maryrachel going under their previous bests, Charlotte at 2:23.42 and Maryrachel securing the new team record at 2:23.05. Daniel Katz bested his older brother’s old record in the 50 Yard Backstroke for a new standard of :34.43. One of the oldest records, the 8 & Under girls 100 IM, previously held by Sarah Evenson in 2007, was broken by Maddie Hogan with a time of 1:38.39.
